Maybe I should just draw this type head on with elongated letters maybe. Thoughts? Also I should reference real woodwork and borders before drawing mine. But that's silly.
I don't know, my eyes go straight to the center of the type every time. Maybe because it's not colored? I dig the old ladies and I love looking at all the stuff, but I would make the type a little less extreme.
I'm an illustrator, a musician, a big hair and a collector of stuff. I do things for the sake of doing them and let them be done for the sake that they are.
The other day, I was riding in a car, and we were at an impossible intersection, and the happiest looking old man stopped and let us out. And I could only think, if only everyone in the world were that happy old man. No one would rush to work, because they'd know their happy old man boss wouldn't mind, and he'd be okay because his happy old man customers could wait for their service, and they'd be fine because their happy old man kids could wait a little longer, and they'd be fine because the happy old man ice cream truck driver would surely give them free ice cream while they waited, and so on.
I can't tell if that would be a good thing or not.
I think the text is good how it is.
